According to Skytrax’s 2025 ranking of the world’s 100 best airports, Danang International Airport has risen to 84th place — up 10 spots, while Noi Bai International Airport now ranks 79th, marking an impressive improvement of 17 places compared to the previous year.
Da Nang Airport meets international standards
Da Nang International Airport reaffirms its position by making it into the list of the world’s top 100 airports for the second consecutive time, while maintaining its 5-star rating for Terminal T2. Terminal T2 offers a friendly and welcoming experience, with expanded children’s play areas, the nightly “Heritage Road” performance, and festive-themed decorations throughout the year such as Mid-Autumn Festival and Christmas.
Notably, Da Nang International Airport is pioneering in adopting comprehensive automation technologies, ranging from self-service check-in kiosks and baggage drops to automated boarding gates. AI-powered surveillance cameras monitor passenger density, while multilingual smart screens enhance efficiency, offering passengers the utmost convenience.

To optimize procedures and meet increasing passenger demand, Terminal T2 is undergoing expansion, expected to commence in September this year, aiming to equalize the number of self-service kiosks with traditional counters.
Beyond T2, Da Nang Airport is also upgrading its domestic Terminal T1 with more comfortable rest areas, additional seating, shelters, and free drinking water. Amenities such as workspaces, premium lounges equipped with iMacs, and sleeping pods with integrated entertainment screens provide a distinctive experience. The airport also emphasizes cultural features, offering passengers a sense of Vietnamese identity through curated art performances and green spaces.
Noi Bai scores high with remarkable upgrades
Noi Bai International Airport, making its seventh appearance in Skytrax’s top 100 list, has made impressive strides, jumping 17 spots to rank 79th. Despite having to balance daily operations with the ongoing expansion of Terminal T2 in 2024, Noi Bai has significantly improved its service quality. Public spaces have been refurbished, cultural activities are held during holidays and festivals, and the adoption of smart air traffic control technologies has improved on-time performance and fuel efficiency. These enhancements not only provide greater passenger comfort but also affirm Noi Bai’s role as a vital aviation gateway for Vietnam.
