The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2024 (DIFF 2024) will illuminate the night sky every Saturday for six weeks, from June 8th to July 13th.
Eight teams have registered to participate, including seven international teams from France, Italy, USA, Germany, Poland, China, Finland, and the host country, Vietnam.
The opening night will be a dazzling showdown between the Da Nang team (representing Vietnam) and the reigning champion of DIFF 2023, France. Subsequent matchups include USA vs. Italy (June 15th), Germany vs. Poland (June 22nd), and China vs. Finland (June 29th), culminating in the grand finale on the evening of July 13th.
This year’s festival theme, “Made in Unity – Global connectivity – The Glorious Five Continents,” aims to convey a message of peace, friendship, humanity, and celebrate values that inspire the community. The stage, situated by the Han River as in previous years, will be adorned with the image of peach bells, one of the symbolic flowers of Ba Na Hills.
Each team has 20 minutes to showcase their pyrotechnic artistry, adhering to nightly themes set by the organizers, including Unique Culture, Nature Wisdom, Love Inspiration, Fairy Tales, and Young Generation.
DIFF 2024 marks the 12th edition of this spectacular event, contributing to Da Nang’s reputation as “Asia’s Leading Festival and Event Destination.” Alongside the fireworks, the city will host various auxiliary activities such as festivals, musical events, and art performances for residents and visitors alike.
The previous festival in 2023 ignited a tourism boom in Da Nang, attracting nearly 1 million visitors to the city over a month.
