This year, the DIFF 2025 fireworks extravaganza will run from May 31 to July 12, lighting up every Saturday night with the inspiring theme “Da Nang – The New Rising Era.” The event is part of the 50th anniversary celebration of Da Nang’s liberation, promising the most dazzling and memorable festival yet.
With six official competition nights, each with a distinct theme, DIFF 2025 offers a rich and varied experience for visitors. Fireworks enthusiasts often plan ahead to attend the performances of their favorite teams or seek out debut teams to discover fresh and exciting new styles.
Mr. Hoang, a visitor from Hanoi, shared his excitement: “In 2019, I happened to catch the showdown between Finland and Italy while staying at Novotel—and I was hooked! Since then, every summer I fly to Da Nang just to watch DIFF.” He especially enjoys Finland’s performances for their grand style, featuring powerful, high-flying bursts synced to energetic rock rhythms. Last year, his favorite team won the championship, so he’s even more eager to see their show at this year’s opening night.
Meanwhile, Ms. Huong, a traveler from Ho Chi Minh City, prefers attending a mid-season night to match her family’s summer holiday schedule. “I enjoy watching debut teams because they often bring surprises. Last year, the Chinese team made it to the final with many unique firework effects and a soundtrack rich in Asian cultural influences. This year, I’ll be watching the fourth qualifying night featuring Portugal and the UK—both are new teams, so it’s sure to be exciting.”
Book early to enjoy great perks
Although there are still two months to go until the official opening, the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF 2025) has already recorded impressive ticket sales. Tens of thousands of tickets have been sold, with many international travelers choosing to book early to secure the best seats and fully enjoy the dazzling displays along the Han River. Jackson, a visitor from Taiwan, shared: “Last year, I stood on Dragon Bridge for over an hour waiting to watch the fireworks. The wait was long, but absolutely worth it. This year, I decided to get grandstand tickets for a better experience.”
With the event’s growing appeal, DIFF 2025 is expected to once again be a sell-out, just like previous seasons. Last year, due to a sudden surge in demand, the organizers had to add nearly 2,000 seats right before the grand finale.
